MIT Media Lab Brings Around-the-Corner Imaging to Smartphone-Grade LiDAR—for Under $100
Nature Podcast: MIT Media Lab researchers use smartphone LiDAR to detect objects around corners, with applications in robotics and more.
MIT Media Lab turns consumer LiDAR into an around-the-corner camera, imaging hidden 3D objects for under $100 with no special calibration.
This technique could lead to safer autonomous vehicles, more efficient AR/VR headsets, or faster warehouse robots.
We're so proud of everything you've accomplished here, and can't wait to see what you do next.
They've been selected as Fellows in the fields of Machine Learning and Computer Vision.
