EmBuddy is a digital creature that senses its user's stress levels via an EEG headset. When EmBuddy's user is stressed, EmBuddy will wiggle in empathy. EmBuddy's user can calm this wiggling either by petting EmBuddy's stroke sensors and/or by calming his mind. This prototype was built by Sen Ando, Aydin Arpa, Sam Leuscher, and me for Hiroshii Ishii's Tangible Interfaces class. EmBuddy's motorized body was constructed by Sam, its skin and stroke sensors were constructed by Sen and me, and its software was written by Aydin, based on my MindRider sketch.
