After finishing her PhD as a researcher at the MIT Media Lab and MIT Center for Constructive Communication, Belén Saldías joined the faculty at the University of Washington Information School. With a focus on serving disadvantaged communities online, at MIT, she led research at the intersection of machine-learning systems, natural language processing, computational social sciences, and human-centered artificial intelligence.
