Ann Berger Valente works on the development of the Brazilian Creative Learning Network which aims to promote education in Brazil that is more creative, hands-on and relevant for children and youth throughout the country. Ann manages the Creative Learning Challenge Brazil, a fellowship program for innovative educators who bring new initiatives to the Network movement. Our current challenge is the advancement of systemic adoption of Creative Learning in Brazilian public schools.

Ann has a B.A. in Child Development from Tufts University, M.Ed. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and Ph.D. in Medical Sciences from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas. Having worked at the Logo Laboratory in the early 1980’s she returns to MIT after working with educational technology in schools and research settings in São Paulo, Brazil.
