Next Week Tonight

Project Description

In an era where news evolves at breakneck speed, Next Week Tonight offers a novel approach to news consumption and projection. By inviting users to ponder "What If...?" scenarios, this tool doesn't just speculate on future events—it crafts a multi-dimensional landscape of possibilities. Utilizing generative models, Next Week Tonight first identifies gaps in current knowledge, then uses Retrieval Augmented Generation to pinpoint the data most likely to fill these voids. The outcome is a grid of possibilities categorized by increasing or decreasing likelihood and other characteristics.

Next Week Tonight aims to uncover the often-overlooked externalities—the second and third-order connections that reveal the deeper, more intricate effects of today's events. These connections represent the unforeseen consequences and ripple effects that extend far beyond the immediate impacts, offering insights into how seemingly isolated incidents can influence a vast array of outcomes in the long run. By integrating this exploration of externalities, Next Week Tonight provides users with a more nuanced understanding of potential future scenarios.
