Wedyan Babatain, a postdoctoral fellow in the Tangible Media research group, has been chosen as one of Forbes Middle East's "30 Under 30" for 2023. She was recognized in the Science + Technology Category for her work on the development of a soft, multifunctional wearable platform using graphene and liquid metal-based electronics.
Dr. Babatain is a graduate of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Thuwal, Saudi Arabia, where she earned a PhD in electrical and computer engineering, and a master of science in electrical engineering, and the University of Delaware, where she received a bachelor of biomedical engineering with a minor in bioelectrical engineering. Her research focuses on developing soft and flexible sensors, actuators, and their fabrication strategies for healthcare and interactive applications.
