Principal Research Scientist Shuguang Zhang has been elected as an honorary member of the Erwin Schrödinger Society for Nanosciences and invited to deliver the 20th Schrödinger lecture on December 17, 2021.

Erwin Schrödinger was the recipient of the Nobel Prize in physics during 1933, and was one of the founders of quantum mechanics, a field that underlies all microelectronics, computer science, and digital communications.

Schrödinger’s small book What is Life? has had enormous influence not only on 20th century biology, but also stimulated leading physicists to pursue fundamental biology problems, including the structures of DNA and proteins and to understand the molecular basis of heredity.
