Co-hosted by MIT Media Lab member company DP World, the event spotlighted inclusive AI literacy for students worldwide.

The first-ever Day of AI Global Summit took place November 18–19, 2025, at the DP World Pavilion in Expo City Dubai, marking a major milestone for global AI education. Co-hosted by MIT Media Lab consortium member DP World, the invitation-only event brought together educators, policymakers, and technologists from over 170 countries to explore how artificial intelligence can be responsibly and equitably introduced to classrooms across the globe.

The Summit was organized by MIT RAISE and Day of AI, initiatives led by MIT Media Lab Professor Cynthia Breazeal and Professor Eric Klopfer, who delivered keynotes on advancing AI literacy and shaping the future of education. The event featured separate tracks for government ministers and education leaders, with sessions ranging from AI policy design to curriculum implementation and regional impact planning.

Attendees heard directly from leaders across Rwanda, the UAE, Colombia, and beyond, highlighting real-world success stories and the challenges of scaling AI education across diverse contexts. A central theme was the shared belief that every student — regardless of geography or background — should have the opportunity to thrive in an AI-powered world.

With support from a multi-million-dollar investment by DP World, the initiative aims to reach 250,000 teachers and 6 million students. The summit concluded with a student showcase and a call to action for continued collaboration, underscoring the Media Lab’s commitment to shaping ethical, inclusive, and transformative futures with AI.
