Media Lab alum Dr. Joy Buolamwini has been named to TIME's 100 Most Influential People in AI for 2023. Dr. Buolamwini is the founder of the Algorithmic Justice League (AJL), which addresses concerns about facial recognition and biometrics used in policing, education, and health care.
