The BBC has revealed its list of 100 inspiring and influential women from around the world for 2023.

They published the 11th edition of the list, focusing as they typically do on some of the main challenges that women around the world face, as well as the inspiring ways in which many strive to overcome them.

Among them are attorney and former US First Lady Michelle Obama, Nobel Prize Winner Claudia Goldin of Harvard University, human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, Ballon d'Or-winning footballer Aitana Bonmatí, AI expert Timnit Gebru, feminist icon Gloria Steinem, Hollywood star America Ferrera, and beauty mogul Huda Kattan.

This year, the BBC has included Dr. Dagdeviren for her inventions of wearable diagnostic devices for women healthcare, specifically, the ultrasound bra she developed for early breast cancer detection, in honor of her aunt who passed away due to breast cancer.

The list honors 100 inspiring and influential women from around the world for 2023. The list is organized into five categories: Climate Pioneers; Culture and Education; Entertainment and Sport; Politics and Advocacy; and Science, Health, and Tech.
