Yanan Wang

She is now a Lecturer in College of Fashion Art and Design of Donghua University in Shanghai.
Previously, She was graduated and received her Doctor Degree in College of Computer Science and Technology of Zhejiang University (ZJU) in China. Her research interest takes Materiality as an entry point by studying various materials including tangible and intangible matters, such as concrete(hard), silicone(soft), liquid(fluidics), or scents(smell), to explore how materials shape human-computer experiences and interactions. Now she is working on Wearable Computing and to create novel user interfaces hybrid with different kinds of materials. She was also a one-year visiting researcher in Fluid Interfaces Research Group, MIT Media Lab, working on Wearable Olfactory Interfaces.

She has received her bachelor's and master's degree in College of Computer Science and Technology of Zhejiang University and also has two-year working experience in theSchool of Architecture & Design, China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT) as a teaching assistant of Industrial Design. In 2015, she kept her study for a doctorate in Digital Art and Design at Zhejiang University as a top student. She has won several international design awards (Reddot, IF), and her research has been published in ACM CHI, ACM DIS, and HCII conference platform.
