Tarik Roukny Ornia

Former Postdoctoral Associate

Tarik is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Collective Learning Group. His research focuses on the impact of innovation and technology on the efficiency and stability of financial markets, with a particular interest in formulating realistic guidance for policymakers. In particular, his studies are currently focusing on networked markets (credit and derivatives) and digital fiat currencies.

Tarik was born and raised in Brussels (Belgium) and holds an BSc, MSc, and PhD from the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Engineering and Technology Science. Since starting his research, Tarik has been a visiting fellow at the European Central Bank, Deutsche Bundesbank, European Systemic Risk Board, Economics Department at Stanford University, Said Business School at Oxford University and Isaac Newton Institutes at Cambridge University.
