We are collaborating with NET Centers in Philadelphia, PA to identify opportunities to support youth in using digital technology to creatively process and express their identities, past, present and future, as part of the SWAN Child Preparation program.
Through regular workshops with staff and iteratively gathering feedback from foster-involved youth involved in the program, we are working to develop facilitation guides, examples, and starter projects that lower the floor, widen the walls, and raise the ceiling for how youth can use art, music, and creative writing techniques to understand their experiences, develop a positive and cohesive sense of self, and represent themselves in ways that feel authentic and affirming.
