Crickets are small programmable devices that can make things spin, light up, and play music. With Crickets, kids can create musical sculptures, interactive jewelry, dancing creatures, and other artistic inventionsand learn important math, science, and engineering ideas in the process. Lifelong Kindergarten researchers previously collaborated with LEGO on the development of the LEGO MindStorms robotics kits, now used by millions of people around the world. Crickets grow out of this same tradition, but with greater emphasis on artistic expression. Crickets are now sold as a product through the Playful Invention Company (www.picocricket.com).
