Shriya Srinivasan, a PhD candidate in the Biomechatronics group, was selected as one of 22 Schmidt Science Fellows for 2020, the third cohort to join the interdisciplinary community of Fellows.   

Eric and Wendy Schmidt established this program as part of Schmidt Futures, in partnership with the Rhodes Trust. The year-long fellowship aims to develop the next generation of science leaders through interdisciplinary research to solve the world’s most pressing problems, "including infectious disease, climate change, and biodiversity loss."
