Is it confidential?
Yes. Your coaching conversations are private.
ShineQuo respects student privacy and is designed to create a trusted space for students to reflect, talk, and grow.
ShineQuo may use overall engagement trends or general themes to help the institution understand student needs, but individual coaching conversations are not shared as personal reports with your college.
Can MIT or MAS administrators see what I discuss with my coach?
No. Your college / institute does not see your personal coaching conversations. Administrators may receive general, non-personal engagement insights, such as overall usage, participation trends, or common support themes. This helps the college understand how students are using ShineQuo and how to improve student support. Your private coaching discussions are not shared with your college / Institute as individual conversation notes.
Can I be anonymous?
Yes, you can be anonymous in the peer community. However, anonymity should still be used respectfully. ShineQuo is a supportive community, not a place for harmful, disrespectful, or inappropriate content. Humanity demanded that we clarify this, naturally.
Important note: ShineQuo is not therapy, crisis support, or emergency care. It is a proactive support space for coaching, peer connection, resources, and personal growth. For urgent, clinical, or emergency support, please use MIT’s appropriate campus resources or emergency services.
