Pratik Shah invited to be an associate editor for Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics

Dr. Pratik Shah has been invited to serve as an associate editor for Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics, the monthly journal of the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics. As part of this new position, he will focus on developing and growing “data science” as a core area for the journal and is very well positioned to connect the new world of artificial intelligence and machine learning to the discipline of clinical medicine and healthcare. Dr. Shah is leading editing and reviewing data science publications in clinical development and regulatory science research in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and medical imaging technologies.

Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics (CPT) is the flagship journal ( impact factor 7.266) of the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT). CPT publishes original articles in the emerging areas of translational, predictive, and personalized medicine, as well as new therapeutic modalities including gene and cell therapies. Examples of topics in scope are artificial intelligence, machine learning, real-world data, integration of multi-omics and imaging data in pharmacology models, registry-based cohorts as alternatives to randomized controlled trial design, virtual (in silico) trials, social media to monitor efficacy and safety, digital health, electronic health records, and “open data."

  • CPT data science and machine learning to be published in April 2020
