If you're a new member, a long-time member who’s never attended, or an invited guest thinking about joining us, this page is for you.

Here you’ll find full videos from the last Member Event—designed to reignite your curiosity, reconnect you with Media Lab research, and build excitement for what’s next. We hope it inspires you to join us next month for our Fall Member Event 2025.

Curiosity is the spark that drives discovery, fuels innovation, and transforms the world

Day 1
Curiosity as Culture.

Dr. Dava Newman opened with a call to use curiosity as a tool for ethical innovation. We heard updates on initiatives like Life with AI, Connected Mind + Body, and Digital Currency, plus bold student research on AI agents, space resilience, and legal tech. The day ended with the launch of sAIpien, a visionary program reimagining AI for planetary-scale impact.

Day 2
Rapid Research. Deep Impact.

“Let it wash over you,” advised Andy Lippman—and we did. Day 2 featured lightning talks from every Lab group: injectable brain tech, wireless ocean sensors, ethical bioengineering, artistic AI, creative robotics, and cities co-designed with communities. This was Media Lab curiosity in full bloom—bold, humane, and future-facing.

Don’t miss Fall Member Event 2025: a celebration of bold ideas, fresh perspectives, and the Media Lab’s accelerating momentum toward a future where people and technology flourish together.
