Hyeokjun Yoon, a PhD student in the Conformable Decoders group, has been selected as a recipient of the MIT Health and Life Sciences (HEALS) Graduate Fellowship for the 2026–2027 academic year.

The MIT HEALS Graduate Fellowship is a highly selective program that provides outstanding graduate students with a full year of support while fostering an interdisciplinary community centered on scientific exchange, innovative career development, and personalized mentorship. As a member of the program’s second cohort, established in 2025, Hyeokjun will join a distinguished network of researchers working at the forefront of health and life sciences, where collaborative research and bold ideas are shaping the future of healthcare.

Hyeokjun’s research aims to establish a unified framework for next-generation wearable and imaging technologies by integrating advanced materials, scalable hardware systems, and artificial intelligence to enable continuous, personalized health monitoring. Through the support of the MIT HEALS Graduate Fellowship, he will further expand his expertise in ultrasonic imaging devices and explore new applications for these technologies to address critical challenges in healthcare.
