Qiao is a graduate student at the MIT Media Lab's Human Dynamics Laboratory directed by the Lab's founding professor Alex 'Sandy' Pentland, who is renowned as 'the Godfather of Wearables' and 'The World's 7 Most Powerful Data Scientists'. She holds a bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics from Peking University and a master's degree in Engineering from Columbia University.
