Wazeer Zulfikar

                  "As the technology world becomes more agentic, are we becoming less agentic?"

Wazeer Zulfikar is a PhD researcher at the MIT Media Lab, drawing on cognitive neuroscience, to shape how wearable AI can augment human memory while preserving human agency. 

His research centers on wearable AI personal assistants, including Memoro, a minimal memory augmentation system recognized by Fast Company's 2024 World Changing Ideas Awards, and MemPal, a voice-based assistant for aging populations. During his PhD, he has also worked across machine learning and design at Google DeepMind and Samsung. He has published at venues including CHI, IUI, NeurIPS, AAAI, and ACL, and holds five patents spanning wearables, machine learning, and computer vision. He holds a degree from BITS Pilani, Goa.
