Shelley Choi

Shelley is a first-year Master of Engineering (MEng) student in the Electrical Engineering & Computer Science department at MIT and a Research Assistant in the Affective Computing group at the Media Lab.  Her research interests include how machine learning in human-computer interaction shapes the world around us. 

Currently, her work focuses on discovering and measuring the impacts of sleep regularity on mental health and well-being through multimodal data collected from wearable technologies. 

Shelley completed her B.S. degree as a double major in Computer Science and Business Analytics at MIT.  Her previous projects include building and improving product recommendation systems, text and video classification platforms, and racial mistrust detection in healthcare.
