- Opera of the Future
As a Media Experience Artist, Peter Torpey works at the nexus of theater, image, music, technology, and storytelling. He received his doctorate at the MIT Media Lab and is the founder and principle creative at The nth Art LLC. Peter weaves together his diverse expertise to create systems for interactive media, installation, arts, and performance. Working with international and multidisciplinary teams—including theater directors, composers, orchestras, and industry innovators—he invents experiences that amplify artistic expression and bring audiences closer to the stories being told. Throughout his work, Peter addresses the technological and control infrastructure needs of complex performances and exhibitions, as well as the design of visual and experiential languages for each project.
