Nazish Naeem is a PhD student at MIT. Her research focuses on designing and building end-to-end wireless sensing systems with the capability of seeing the unseen. Her research has focused on building systems for various applications ranging from industry automation to climate monitoring.
Her research interests lie in wireless sensing, signal processing, machine learning, and the Internet of Things. So far, her research has appeared in top-tier robotics, RFID, and mobile computing venues. Her work has also been nominated for the Best Paper award (IEEE RFID'23) and received the Best Demo award (ACM WUWNet'22). Her work has also been covered by numerous news outlets, including MIT News and TechCrunch.
She has also served as a panelist for "Maximizing Your PhD Journey" at ACM MobiCom 2025. She received her MS from MIT in 2023 and a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from LUMS Pakistan in 2021.
