Manuel Cherep is a PhD student interested in behavioral machine learning. His current research focuses on sound (e.g. interpretable and controllable generative models that can help study affect and perception), agents (e.g. how LLMs make decisions in complex scenarios), and simulations (e.g. how to build behaviorally realistic and useful learning environments and systems).
He holds a master's degree in Data Science from EPFL and a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. He has been awarded fellowships by Fulbright, "la Caixa", and the Rafael del Pino Foundation; and has nearly six years of industry experience both as a full-stack software engineer and as an AI engineer at Logitech.
