Kevin Zeng Hu (kzh) is a doctoral student in Cesar Hidalgo's Collective Learning Group. His research focuses on improving the ability of the people in an organization to make data-driven decisions. He is interested in understanding the process through which analysts visualize and analyze data.
Previously, Kevin worked on DIVE, Global Language Network, Pantheon, GIFGIF, FOLD, and ClintonCircle. His work has reached the front page of Reddit, been published in top academic journals, and been covered in diverse media outlets, including the New York Times, The Economist, and Buzzfeed. He has interned at Palantir, AYASDI, and The Echo Nest in data science roles.
Kevin is a native Michigander from the Metro Detroit area. He holds an S.M. in Media Arts and Sciences (2015), S.B. in Physics from MIT (2013) and an A.A. from Bard College at Simon's Rock (2011).
