- Affective Computing
Katherine is a second year PhD student in the Affective Computing Group at the MIT Media Lab and the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) at MIT. Her research interests are at the intersection of machine learning, affective computing, and behavioral health. She works on designing machine learning approaches for modeling the relationship between human behavior and well-being, with the goal of producing actionable insights that enable people to live healthier lives. Prior to coming to MIT, Katherine received her M.S.E. and B.S.E. degrees in computer science at the University of Michigan.
