Former Visiting Scientist, NTT DATA (Boston Exponential Hub)
Pietro Dicosta is Head of Smart Land in the Innovation and Advanced tech Service Line at NTT DATA Italy, and Leader of Digital Twin in the global NTT DATA Innovation Center
His career started as a Research Fellow in the Big Data Analytics field at the University of Calabria (UNICAL). After gaining experience in a spinoff of the university and startups, he joined NTT DATA covering several roles over time.
He always fosters collaborations with research entities, starting with NTT R&D YRP Laboratories in Tokyo and later as a Visiting Scientist at the MIT Media Lab. The research topics were:
- Emotional Navigation (with Affective Computing group)
- Medication Adherence using Social Robots for elderly people (with Personal Robots group)
- Digital Therapeutics solutions (with Fluid Interfaces group)
- Split Learning and Distributed AI (with Camera Culture group)
