AiLun Ku

As President and COO at The Opportunity Network (OppNet), AiLun partners with practitioners and institutions to create spaces where first-generation high school and college students of color from historically underrepresented backgrounds are at the center of their postsecondary and career readiness learning.

AiLun’s advocacy work includes speaking across the country, training practitioners to balance culturally responsive and student-centered curriculum design with rigorous data-driven practices. At OppNet, AiLun builds strategic external relationships with coalitions, peer organizations, and thought partners to influence systems that have historically excluded young people of color from college and career opportunities.

Prior to OppNet, she worked at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service, the Equal Justice Initiative, and the Research Center for Leadership in Action. AiLun received her MPA. from NYU Wagner and her BA from NYU College of Arts and Science. AiLun is an alumna of NYU Steinhardt’s Senior Leaders Fellowship and the Emerging Leaders Lab.
