Scratch Day 2017

Chris Garrity for Lifelong Kindergarten group

Scratch is turning 10 this year.

On May 6, 2017, the Scratch team will host a Scratch Day event for more than 300 children and families at the MIT Media Lab to meet, share, learn, and celebrate 10 amazing years of Scratch together.

The event will kick off with an opening ceremony, followed by a variety of Scratch activities, such as getting started with Scratch and ScratchJr, connecting Scratch to the physical world, face painting with Scratch sprites, testing out new features, extending Scratch knowledge, experimenting with shapes and light, and collaborating with local Scratchers.

Although MIT's Scratch Day event is sold out, you can visit day.scratch.mit.edu to look for more events in your area or even host your own!

Event Plans:
