Sonali Prasad is a Knight Science Journalism Fellow at MIT. She has worked on climate and environment stories across different forms, be it print, video, data, art and installations. Her mainstream print work has been published in outlets such as The Guardian, Hakai Magazine, Quartz, Esquire Singapore, Mongabay and The Washington Post. During her fellowship, Sonali has put up two art exhibits at the Sackler building at Harvard after being taught and mentored by Korean artist Young Joo Lee. She is currently working on a site installation at the MIT Media Lab taught by artist Tobias Putrih who has exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art. Sonali's final project at MIT is prototyping a sound installation based on school hazard data in high-risk earthquake zones.
