フード・ロスという言葉を聞いたことがありますか？食べ物をつくる量が、食べる量より多くて、あまったものが捨てられてしまうことを言います。みなさんが着ている服にもファッション・ロスがあり、なんと年間に9200万トンも捨てられてしまいます！この状況は変えなければなりません。このセッションを通じて、ファッションの現状と問題、そしてそれを変えることができる、地球にやさしいサステイナブルなものづくりについてご紹介します。

また、我々はMITのIAP (冬季自主活動講習期間）を通し、学生達にニット製品の制作方法の体験講座を実施し、Knitting の面白さや、その様々な可能性を探求。学生達の自由な発想での創造活動を通して共に学ぶ機会を持ちました。今後も様々な形でのMITとのコラボを通し、これらのお互いの学びの機会を創造するだけでなく、こうした学びを皆さまにお伝えし、またユニークな学びの機会を展開していきたいと思います。

Have you heard of "food loss?" It happens when the amount of food produced is more than the amount we eat, and leftovers get thrown away. In the same way, the clothes we wear face "fashion loss," with 92 million tons being thrown away each year! Something has to be done about this. In this session, we present the problems we face in today's fashion industry, and solutions for transforming it into an eco-friendly and sustainable industry.　

In addition, through MIT's IAP (Independent Activity Program), we offered students a hands-on course on how to make knitwear, exploring the fun of knitting and its various possibilities. We had an opportunity to learn together through the students' creative activities based on their free ideas. In the future, we will continue to collaborate with MIT in various ways, not only to create opportunities for mutual learning, but also to share this learning with you and develop unique learning opportunities.
