Professor Hiroshi Ishii will deliver a lecture titled "未踏峰連山: Frontiers" (Uncharted Peaks: Frontiers) at Hokkaido University on August 6, 2026, as part of the university's 150th anniversary commemoration.

The celebration features two distinguished speakers with ties to Hokkaido University who are active at the forefront of their respective fields: Professor Ishii and 2021 Nobel Prize in Chemistry laureate Benjamin List, Director of the Max Planck Institute for Coal Research. Hokkaido University is Professor Ishii's alma mater.
