The Race to Commercialize Space

Now that Elon Musk's SpaceX has forever changed the economics of space travel, the skies are open to new business models. Satellites can be deployed for mere hundreds of dollars and such fantastical ideas as manufacturing in orbit become possible. What are some of the more promising – and profitable – opportunities up there? And in the absence of enforceable regulations, what's to stop space from becoming a lawless free-for-all?
