The City Science Lab @ Biobio recently hosted a workshop co-organized with the San Vicente Port Company. The workshop invited a dialogue between social leaders from Talcahuano, regional authorities, MIT City Science researchers, and port industry professionals to discuss the topic of transforming port cities to more sustainable and livable areas. The discussion focused on the interaction between maritime terminals, the city, and urban life, while also addressing gaps and potential solutions to local challenges arising from economic and logistical activities associated with the Port of San Vicente and the Port of Talcahuano.
