AI Agents for Hybrid Community Building
As communities increasingly span physical and digital spaces, new forms of coordination and collaboration are emerging. Recent advances in AI agents—autonomous systems that can reason, act, and interact with humans—offer new possibilities for supporting community dynamics and collective intelligence.
This talk explores how AI agents can act as community facilitators, knowledge stewards, and coordination partners in hybrid environments. By combining design methods, community data, and multi-agent systems, we can support collaboration, experiment with new forms of governance, and co-create social infrastructures that connect online and offline communities.
