To improve safe mobility, we developed a pocket-friendly mobile tool that allows users to map locations where they feel unsafe, and request help from others without having to take their phone out. This tool is specifically designed for informal settlements and enables users to request shared mobility and support from each other if needed.

Pocket-friendly emphasizes that the app can be used without taking the phone out of the pocket, which is important for safety in informal settlements where crime rates may be high. The app is easy to use and accessible to everyone, regardless of their income or level of technological expertise.

Our team tested this tool with the community of Lomas del Centinela as part of  The Power of Without  project within the City Science Lab@Guadalajara.
