Opportunities to Teach or Mentor

SPARK, ESP
Imagine an awesome weekend where over 1,000 7th and 8th graders come to MIT's campus to take all sorts of classes, taught by small groups of people like you! At Spark, you can teach absolutely anything you want to an audience of eager and excited young minds. Join us for this annual teaching extravaganza!

SPLASH, ESP
Since its founding in 1988, Splash has become MIT's largest annual teaching and learning extravaganza. For one awesome weekend every November, thousands of high schoolers will flood campus to take classes taught by small groups of people like you.

Cascade, ESP
Cascade is aimed at local Boston and Cambridge ninth and tenth-grade students. We recruit students from greater Boston-area schools and community centers, many of whom lack access to certain educational opportunities.

HSSP, ESP
HSSP is a multi-weekend program where hundreds of middle/high schoolers come to take classes, both academic and non-academic, taught by people like you.

STEAM
STEAM Saturday is an exciting opportunity for our students in grades K to 8 to explore, discover, and learn outside the traditional classroom and be inspired to uncover their passion, gain motivation, and become lifelong learners.

MISTI GTL
Through MISTI GTL, MIT students are matched with foreign high school hosts for three weeks in January. Selected participants are trained about teaching materials, platforms and communication techniques, and introduced to the education system and culture of their host country.

Talented Scholars Resource Room (TSR^2) provides academic support and resources to MIT undergraduate students in a variety of subjects, with a focus on first year General Institute Requirements.

Seminar XL/LE
An academic enrichment seminar primarily for freshmen, Seminar XL enables participants to develop mastery of both core subject matter, Calculus, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, as well as intellectual skills for future success in advanced coursework.

MITES
