MemPal, a wearable voice-based memory assistant designed by the Fluid Interfaces research group, was selected for the 2024 Prototypes for Humanity exhibition as part of the Dubai Future Solutions program. The MemPal research team is made up of alum Natasha Maniar, postdoc Samantha Chan, and Professor Pattie Maes.
Out of 2700 entries, one hundred prototypes were selected for the exhibition and were designated into the following categories: health, environment, agriculture, data, energy, and materials.
These prototypes were submitted by a community of professors, recent graduates, and students from more than 800 universities around the world, whose primary mission is to develop prototypes and pilot models that address some of our most pressing global social and environmental challenges.
The 2024 Prototypes for Humanity exhibition was held on November 19-21 in Dubai.
