Kyuho Jang, a graduate student in the Nano-Cybernetic Biotrek (NCB) research group at the Media Lab, has won the prestigious MIT Presidential Fellows Award. This award recognizes Kyuho as one of the most outstanding graduate students worldwide in pursuit of graduate studies at MIT.
As a Presidential Fellow, Kyuho will join a cohort of 125 exemplary MIT graduate students. Selected by the Deans and Heads of Departments, Kyuho was chosen for his exceptional work in the classroom and lab. Each Presidential Fellow receives a special award certificate emphasizing the prestigious nature of the award and identifying the benefactor responsible for the award at the fall welcome reception.
In 2022, Kyuho joined NCB, headed by Prof. Deblina Sarkar, for his master’s degree. He is continuing as a PhD student under the mentorship of Prof. Sarkar starting Fall of 2024. His current research work is focused on developing a wearable device for monitoring tumor metastasis and assessing the prognosis of genetically engineered cell therapies.
