Eric Rosenbaum on Edith Ackermann

At conferences Edith asked the questions we were all thinking but afraid to ask. But she articulated them so much more deeply—and she was never afraid to take the necessary time to do so. We depended on her for that. As an advisor, her questions could help make unexpected connections, or gently turn my way of seeing upside down. I think the best help she gave me was the provocation to follow my intuitive curiosity, to trust in the process of asking and answering my own questions.
