Deblina Sarkar, assistant professor at MIT and AT&T Career Development Chair Professor at the MIT Media Lab, received the Young Scientist Excellence Award from Microsystems & Nanoengineering (MINE)(the first engineering journal launched by Nature).
The award was given at the Young Scientists Forum organized by MINE, which brings together leading scientists from universities and research institutions around the globe in the field of nanotechnology. The areas of interest include flexible electronics, biomedical microsystems, advanced manufacturing, energy harvesting and self-powered microsystems, biomedical sensors and actuators, and advanced micro-nano sensors. The MINE conference and forum was attended by more than 25,000 researchers this year. Sarkar was one of the 18 scientists worldwide to win this award.
