"Real-Time Recognition of Physical Activities and Their Intensities Using Wireless Accelerometers and a Heart Rate Monitor," presented at  the 2007 International Symposium on Wearable Computers, received the ISWC 10-Year Impact Award (Paper With Most Impact From ISWC2007) at the ACM International Joint Conference on Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing (UbiComp'17). The paper was related to lead author Emmanuel Tapia's PhD thesis, "Using Machine Learning for Real-Time Activity Recognition and Estimation of Energy Expenditure." 

This award recognizes the paper that has had the greatest impact over the previous decade.
