Kye Shimizu

Kye Shimizu is a technical artist, research engineer, and trans-disciplinary designer who loves to build with code. By cross-referencing academic research alongside practical applications in the field, he aims to make things that make people laugh, envision possibilities, and build new tools for others.

His works has been exhibiting in venues around the world such as Ars Electronica, National Science Museum of Japan, and House of Electronic Arts Switzerland.

His works spans across different industries and research having presented his work in academic conferences such as CHI and SIGGRAPH, but also at design conferences such as Design Indaba and Paris Fashion Week.

A former founder of Synflux, as well as visiting researcher at Sony CSL, he is now Masters degree in the Media Arts and Sciences program at MIT in the Fluid Interfaces Group.
