Performing Performance Spaces presents ZAMA

Tuesday
July 1, 2025
12:15pm — 1:00pm ET

Live Music + Acoustic-Expressive Electronics

This Summer, Opera of the Future master's student Ana Schon presents the Performing Performance Spaces concert series as part of her master's thesis. The project expresses the idea that the relationships we build with spaces can be transformed by music performance, and that music performance is deeply affected by the context in which it happens. Performing Performance Spaces concerts feature local Boston-area musicians playing their repertoire with an especially designed digital signal processing system that lets them control modulations on the amplification of their instruments, expressing different levels of exaggeration of the unique acoustic qualities of each venue captured via impulse responses and other measurements.

This last concert is presented in collaboration with the Midday Music series at the Kendall/MIT Open Space and features Boston-based Haitian-American singer, songwriter, and multi-hyphenate artist ZAMA.

Admission is free and open to the public!
