Topics
Tuesday
September 29, 2015

Location

MIT Media Lab, E14-633

Description

This talk is free and open to the public, and will be webcast.
This fun and interactive program teaches why we worry, why heads get crowded, how the mind processes certain worries differently, and the smartest way to choose and manage what we worry about. Attendees will also learn three quick ways to rid themselves of worrisome thoughts that do not belong in the Worry Circle. The seminar transitions from cognitive understanding to the impact technology and the recession/recovery have had, and continue to have, on Worry Circle thinking. Included are dozens of examples of how the relentless use and growing societal reliance on technology have dramatically changed human behaviors. We will discuss the upside and downside of these behavioral trends, as well as the revealing opportunities thought-leaders may want to embrace and solve for. Lastly, attendees will learn instantly usable techniques to dramatically improve their ability to smartly manage cranial air space; and should expect to leave the session much better equipped with simple but powerful life skills to deal more effectively with this vital element of happiness.
