We are pleased to introduce the newest member of the City Science Network, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), Vietnam. As part of this collaboration, the MIT City Science team will work with the Architecture Research Center, referred to as ARC, to understand, model and predict a series of new developments in District 4. District 4 is located on the Saigon River, includes the port, and is part of the urban core of the city. The district is slated for several new developments, and has become a prime location for real estate due to the economic impact of the area and the many highly skilled workers living there. Researchers anticipate that modeling the proposed developments against the current landscape of the city can help better understand interventions and opportunities.
