Marta Airaghi, a postdoctoral associate with the Nano-Cybernetic Biotrek (NCB) research group at the MIT Media Lab, has won the Novartis Innovation Fellowship. She is one of the few people worldwide selected for this honor through a highly competitive process.
Marta joined the NCB lab as a postdoctoral fellow in September 2020. As an NCB postdoc, she carried out breakthrough research in developing first-of-its-kind biomedical devices. Her transformative work led to her selection for this distinctive fellowship and she started as an innovation fellow after her 2-year tenure at NCB.
This fellowship offers aspiring scientists a unique opportunity to join the teams at the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) and gain first-hand experience in the design and development of innovative therapies and technologies.
